Celebrate Cakes for Apes in Brighton!

Brighton is set to host a delightful event that combines the love of baking with a noble cause. On Saturday, 29th March, the International Animal Rescue (IAR) will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Cakes for Apes with a special Afternoon Tea at the charming Hotel Du Vin. This event is not just about indulging in delicious cakes and scones but also about supporting a decade-long mission to protect and rehabilitate endangered orangutans.

The afternoon promises to be a blend of inspiration and indulgence. Esteemed guests like Alan Knight OBE, President of IAR, will shed light on the ongoing efforts to rescue animals worldwide. Meanwhile, Henry Bird, a favourite from The Great British Bake Off, will share his unique journey of combining baking with conservation. Gavin Bruce, CEO of IAR, will also provide insights into the groundbreaking work being done by the organisation.

Attendees will be treated to a sumptuous selection of cakes, scones, and finger sandwiches, along with a refreshing cup of tea. As a token of appreciation, each guest will receive an exclusive Cakes for Apes goody bag. This event is just the beginning of a series of celebrations, as supporters globally participate in “Ape-ril,” a month dedicated to baking and making a difference.

With limited tickets available, it’s the perfect opportunity for Brighton locals to enjoy a lovely afternoon while contributing to a vital cause. And if you’re thinking of making Brighton your home, we at Sawyer & Co can help you find the perfect place to settle in this vibrant city.
